- Furnishes services
in accordance with agency policies
- Uses the plan of care and makes necessary revisions to provide individualized services
- Furnishes those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills as directed by the DON and Assistant DON
Prepares clinical and progress notes
- Initiates appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures
- Informs the physician and other
personnel of changes in the patients condition and needs by phone and in
writing
- Provides services within agency
service area as scheduled
- Counsels the patient, parent in
meeting nursing and related needs
Participates in in-service
programs
- Supervises and teaches other
nursing personnel
- Reports any changes in client’s
condition to supervisor immediately

Qualifications
- High school graduate or
equivalent
- Graduate of an approved school of
professional nursing
- Licensed as a registered nurse by
the State of Texas
- One year experience in nursing
- Ability to demonstrate assessment
and skills in caring for a pediatric client for Pediatric RN Supervisor
- Knowledge or experience with
gastric button feeding and care, but will train
- Knowledge or experience with ventilators, tracheostomy and care
preferred, but will train
